What can vinyl signage do?
Vinyl is the most flexible material in a sign shop. It is printed or cut, then applied to glass, walls, doors and vehicles.
| Surface | Common uses |
|---|---|
| Storefront windows | Business name, logo, hours, phone number and services |
| Doors | Hours, suite numbers, accessibility and entry information |
| Interior glass | Frosted privacy bands, logos and patterns for offices and conference rooms |
| Walls | Wall graphics, murals, values walls and timelines |
| Vehicles | Lettering, partial wraps and full wraps |
For vehicles, see vehicle wraps and lettering. For larger interior projects, see interior business signs.

What does vinyl signage cost?
Vinyl is usually one of the lower-cost ways to add signage, but the price still depends on the job:
- Size. Square footage of the window, wall or door.
- Cut or printed. Cut lettering in one or two colors, or full-color printed graphics.
- Surface. Glass, painted drywall, textured walls and vehicles each take different materials.
- Access. High windows or walls may need a lift.
Send measurements and a photo, and we will quote it in writing. All work is warrantied.
How do you plan window vinyl?
Window lettering is read in seconds, so keep it short. Name, what you do, hours and a phone number or website covers most businesses. Then:
- Measure the glass and note any mullions or door handles that break it up.
- Check your lease. Many centers limit how much of the window can be covered.
- Think about both sides. Some graphics need to read from inside as well as outside.
- Plan for change. If hours or services change often, keep those on a separate piece.
What to send with a quote request
- Measurements of each window, wall or door
- Photos of the surface, inside and out
- Your logo as a vector file
- The text you want, and your deadline
Where do we install vinyl signage?
Our shop is at 709 Miles Jamison Rd, Suite 2, Summerville, SC 29485, and we work across the Charleston metro: Summerville, Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Goose Creek, Ladson, Hanahan, Moncks Corner, Johns Island, James Island, Daniel Island, West Ashley. Storefronts in downtown Summerville, on Folly Road and Harbor View Road on James Island, and along King Street and the Charleston corridors are common vinyl jobs.
Who approves a sign depends on the parcel, not the mailing address. Our guide to business sign permits in Summerville covers how the Town reviews signs, and each location page covers that area's city or county process.
Who designs your vinyl?

He appeared on Shark Tank in 2015 with a product he invented and patented, and founded Imperial Sign Crafters in 2017. All work is warrantied. More about Matt.
Vinyl signage questions
What is vinyl signage used for?
Window and door lettering, storefront hours, glass privacy graphics, wall graphics and murals, and vehicle lettering. Vinyl is printed or cut, then applied directly to glass, walls, doors or vehicles.
Is vinyl a good choice for storefront windows?
Usually, yes. Window vinyl puts your name, hours, phone number and services where people walking or driving by can see them, and it is one of the lower-cost ways to make a storefront look open for business.
Can vinyl give a conference room privacy?
Yes. Frosted or printed vinyl on glass adds privacy while still letting light through, and it can carry your logo or a pattern at the same time.
How much does vinyl signage cost?
It depends on the size, whether it is cut lettering or printed graphics, and the surface it goes on. Send the measurements and a photo of the window, wall or door and we will quote it in writing.
Can vinyl be removed?
Yes. Vinyl can be removed when your hours, services or tenancy change, which is one reason landlords often prefer it for window lettering.
Do you do vinyl lettering on vehicles?
Yes. See our vehicle wraps and lettering page for trucks, vans, trailers and fleets.
