What interior signs do we make?
Interior signs carry your brand inside the door and help people find their way once they are there. The main types:
| Sign type | Where it goes | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Lobby and reception signs | Behind the front desk or on the entry wall | The first thing visitors see, and often the most photographed |
| Dimensional letters and logos | Feature walls, conference rooms, hallways | Your logo with depth, in metal, acrylic or PVC |
| Wayfinding and room signs | Hallways, suites, doors | Gets patients, clients and visitors to the right room |
| Wall graphics | Break rooms, hallways, training rooms | Large-scale brand, mission or history walls |
| Window and glass graphics | Conference rooms, office fronts, doors | Privacy, branding and visibility on glass |
For printed graphics on walls, windows and doors, see our vinyl signage page.
What interior signs have we built?
Plantation Dental Care, Century 21 and Actemium are three interior projects in our project gallery.

What does interior signage cost?
It depends on what is in the set. A published range would not tell you much, because a single vinyl door graphic and a lit metal lobby logo are different projects. Five things drive the price:
- Material. Printed panels, acrylic, PVC or metal.
- Size. A logo sized for a reception wall versus a full feature wall.
- Lighting. Halo-lit or backlit letters need power at the wall.
- Quantity. Wayfinding and room sets are priced by the number of pieces.
- Mounting. Drywall, glass, tile and brick each mount differently.
Tell us about the space and we will quote it in writing. All work is warrantied.
How do you plan a lobby sign?
Start with where people stand when they first see it. A reception sign is read from the door, so size it for that distance and keep it clear of the desk, monitors and anything that will sit in front of it.
- Wall. Send a photo and the wall dimensions. Note what the wall is made of.
- Light. Ceiling lights can wash out a flat logo or make a dimensional one look great. Lit letters need power at the wall.
- Brand. Send vector artwork and your colors so the lobby matches the building sign and your print materials.
- Timing. For a build-out, tell us when the walls will be finished and painted.
What to send with a quote request
- The property address, so the right city or county and zoning district can be identified
- Your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF), or brand standards if you are a franchise or national tenant
- Photos of the building, entrance or wall, plus a wide shot from the road
- Whether the sign needs to be lit
- Any landlord, HOA or property manager sign criteria that already apply
- Your real deadline, such as an opening date or move-in
- A floor plan, if you need wayfinding or room signs
Where do we install interior business signs?
Our shop is at 709 Miles Jamison Rd, Suite 2, Summerville, SC 29485, and we work across the Charleston metro: Summerville, Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Goose Creek, Ladson, Hanahan, Moncks Corner, Johns Island, James Island, Daniel Island, West Ashley. Medical and professional offices in West Ashley, Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island make up much of this work.
Who approves a sign depends on the parcel, not the mailing address. Our guide to business sign permits in Summerville covers how the Town reviews signs, and each location page covers that area's city or county process.
Who designs your interior signs?
Owner Matt Harris has more than 30 years in the sign industry, including production and design lead work at Signs Now in New York on national accounts such as Prudential, Exxon and BP, and fleet wrap and large fabrication work before that. He appeared on Shark Tank in 2015 with a product he invented and patented, and founded Imperial Sign Crafters in 2017. All work is warrantied. More about Matt.
Interior sign questions
What interior business signs do you make?
Lobby and reception signs, dimensional letters and logos, wayfinding and room signage, and wall and window graphics for offices, medical practices and retail spaces across the Charleston area.
How much does a lobby sign cost?
Interior signage covers a wide range, from a set of vinyl door graphics to a lit metal lobby logo, so a published range would not tell you much. The drivers are material, size, lighting, how many pieces are in the set and how the wall needs to be mounted. Tell us about the space and we will quote it in writing.
What materials work for a lobby sign?
Common choices are brushed or painted metal, acrylic, PVC and printed panels, used alone or layered for depth. The right one depends on the wall, the lighting in the room and the look of your brand.
Do you make ADA signs?
Ask us. Room and restroom signs that have to meet ADA requirements are a specific product, so call (843) 926-7446 with your list and we will tell you what we can provide for your project.
Can you match our exterior sign inside?
Yes, and it is worth doing. When the lobby matches the building sign, the brand reads as one. Plantation Dental Care and Century 21 in Charleston are two interior projects in our gallery.
Do you install interior signs after hours?
Tell us when the space is open and when it is not. We can plan installation around your schedule, especially for medical offices that cannot close for a day.
